GRATEFUL - GEAR 5

"Gratitude opens your eyes to the limitless potential of the Universe..."

 -Stephen Richards

As we continue to learn and practice the “Clean” part of a “Clean and Ketogenic Lifestyle,” be grateful for the beautiful and nutritious fresh foods that are available. This includes foods such as organic produce, grass fed animals, wild caught fish, and free range chickens and eggs.

Beware, though!  Humans also have the ability to spray toxins for bugs and critter control, boost animal growth with hormones, and genetically modify foods, so they can be grown in mass quantities.  Be grateful that organically grown and humanely treated animal sources are out there, but don’t take for granted that this is important to everyone!  Make it important to YOU.

Think for yourself, educate yourself, and don’t always follow the crowd.

Be grateful that, if you didn’t already know the difference, you are learning it now!  Be grateful you are doing yourself the service of learning more, and doing better!

Walk through your local farmer’s market and grocery store, looking for organic choices on produce and grass fed choices in meat.  Look for those pasture raised poultry and eggs and then be grateful, when preparing and eating the food, for the animals that gave their lives in order to feed you and your family this week.  Be grateful for those farmers and growers who take the extra steps necessary to farm humanely.  Support local growers and farmers, who take pride and responsibility for organic, hormone free, GMO free foods on our tables.

Eat Clean.  Be Clean.  Stay Clean.

The unfortunate fact is that we do live in an ever-increasingly toxic environment. Toxins, referred to as Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP’s), are all around us today, many of which didn’t even exist years ago. Some examples of these POP’s would be various pesticides, herbicides, and industrial and household chemicals that enter our bodies by way of air supplies, food, and even the water we drink and bathe in.  What happens is that these toxins become trapped in our body’s organs and tissues that negatively impact our health, vitality, and overall wellness.  Often, this is the root cause of chronic illness.

Be encouraged that there are some positive answers on how to “detoxify” your environment, and “turn the tables” on the toxic situation that faces us today, in our world. We can live more simply...more basically.

Knowledge really IS power, but only if you apply it! When you started this journey, you took an important step in gaining more knowledge, and, as a result, you DO have the power to optimize your health!  Be Grateful that you took that step and continue to learn ways to take control over your health!
